While recruited as a creative consultant to the University of Technology, Sydney, I led the branding and identity of the Sydney International Animation Festival for three consecutive years – inclusive of its inaugural year (2009).
The most successful and accomplished year for festival branding was in 2010. There was a lot of creative freedom and my team and I were encouraged to experiment with tactile visual content. We built set designs out of coloured card, and incorporated the theme of an ‘origami circus’ into the festival branding.
The work was later published in The Little Book of Lettering by Emily Gregory (Chronicle Press, 2011) and this was a great honour to our work.
