The Dog Doctor was a project run in 2012 by the Animal Management in Rural and Remote Indigenous Communities (AMRRIC) of Australia. The facilitator / coordinator, Ktima Heathcote approached me to assist with the post-production of educational materials including a DVD and pamphlets about Dog Health in the Barkly area of the Northern Territory.
Ktima visited regional schools and collaborated with the children to produce a series of exciting videos starring the kids. Each school produced a different video that corresponded to a specific illness or ailment treated by the ‘Dog Doctor.’
The project also involved a special collaborator and renowned artist from the region, Dion Beasly, whose ‘cheeky dogs’ have become iconic Australia-wide.
